Meet our Staff

  • Scott Smith - Affiliate Director

    Scott is excited to join the Alaska YFC staff. Scott and his wife, Laura, fell in love with Alaska in 2000, back in Kenny Lake, Alaska, and have been passionate about sharing the gospel ever since, throughout Anchorage and the State. Their passion for evangelism and leadership development will be a priorty as they train up staff and volunteers to reach middle school and high school students with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Their partnership with YFC the past 10 years has made YFC's mission resonate within their hearts. They are excited to continue to provide support to the already functioning clubs as well as pursue new club opportunites anround the state. They live in Anchorage with their "crash" of kids, Colton - 12, Zechariah - 10, Isaac - 8, and Lucy - 7.

  • Reagan Manolas - Campus Life Coordinator, Eagle River Area

    Reagan started volunteering with YFC Mirror Lake Middle School Campus Life her senior year of high school with TJ Manolas. While at college getting her teaching degree she was a volunteer for four years as a youth worker at Birchwood Community Church. In 2006 Reagan was on the team that restarted Campus Life at Mirror Lake Middle School and has continued her passion to reach students on the school campus with the Gospel message while connecting them with local churches. Reagan and TJ have 4 rowdy kids, Corrina, Theodore, Wyatt, and Maverick.

    Heather joined the YFCAK team on September 1, 2010 and has more than 13 years of youth ministry experience. Heather has a heart for high-risk youth and enjoys partnering with local churches, para church organizations and other non-profits to help make a difference in their lives. Heather and Rich have been married for over 22 years and have two children, Harry - a college freshman and Alyssa - a senior at East high. When Heather's not hanging out with kids, she can be found hiking with her dogs Maddie and Max, camping, gardening, sewing, reading mystery novels, cooking, knitting, or just possibly taking a nap.
